What is the English 1 EOC STAAR? The STAAR English I EOC is a mandatory Texas state assessment covering reading and writing, featuring an online-only format with approximately 52–54 total items, including multiple-choice, technology-enhanced questions, and one extended constructed response (essay). The test focuses on TEKS-based reading comprehension, revising, and editing.
